Vapora Releases Dystopia

A hazy coastal city in blue and lavender light.

Vapora’s first album, Dystopia, begins the Vaporsoft Records catalog with a collection rooted in electronic music, beats, and indie-pop textures. Hazy, melancholic, and nostalgic, it introduces a project interested in atmosphere as much as momentum: music that can suggest a place, a memory, or a passing state of mind.

The album’s world sits between concrete and coastline. Titles such as “Concrete Jungle” and “Overcast” bring an urban perspective, while “Oceanside,” “Pineapple Juice,” and “Sunfish” open a different set of images. That movement between grey skies and warmer colors gives the release a visual vocabulary of its own, without needing a single storyline to connect every track.

Developed between July and October 2015, Dystopia marks an early chapter in Vapora’s original production. Electronic textures and compact song forms provide a starting point for an identity that leaves room for both darker moods and brighter moments. Nostalgia runs through the project, but its setting is deliberately open: listeners can bring their own associations to the music.

For Vaporsoft Records, this first album establishes the catalog as a space where sound and presentation belong together. It is an introduction rather than a final definition of Vapora’s work, with room for the project to develop in different directions.
